You've got engaged, you've booked your wedding date and you now want to book your make-up artist. So what do you do?

My advice is to choose a make-up artist who provides the kind of make-up look that you want for your big day. It may sound obvious, but each artist has their own way of doing things and may often have their own signature look. This look can be adjusted here and there to suit each person individually, but if you do your research you will see what I mean. Make sure you are happy with your chosen artist before you decide to book. Have a look at their galleries and also social media pages. This will give you a fantastic insight to the way they work and also the looks they provide.

As soon as a bride contacts me, that is where the fun begins. On our initial conversation, and once we have established that I am available on your wedding date, I will provide you with a price list (also found on this website) to ensure you are happy with the prices before we go any further. This is usually the information that is mostly needed by you as part of booking your artist. All the details you will need to know are on that price list so it is handy for you to keep for your records. Once you have decided to go ahead with booking me to do your wedding make-up, I will require a small deposit per head to secure your wedding date in my diary.

The next step after booking me to do your wedding make-up is the trial stage. Before this happens I encourage all my brides to do a bit of research into the look they want to achieve for their day. Save lots of pictures of make-up looks you like and also ones you don't like. This will give me a great understanding of the type of look you want to go for and will enable me to talk you through your different options and preferences. Not everyone decides to have a trial before the big day and that is your decision to make. If you decide not to have one then I will still make sure your wedding make-up is perfect for you when I meet you on your wedding day. 

For those of you who do decide to have one, we will arrange a date that suits you best and carry out the trial then. It's always a great opportunity to use your trial for another occasion, such as a friends wedding, a night out, or even your own hen party.

Once the trial is complete and everyone is happy, we will discuss the final times and other relevant details for your wedding morning. Don't worry if you change your mind on your look before your big day, this can all be altered by me when the time comes.

The day before your wedding I will send you a quick message to confirm we are good to go the next day and to make sure any addresses or times haven't changed since we last spoke.

I will arrive at your wedding venue, or home address roughly 10 minutes before our start time to ensure I have enough time to set up ready to go.

Once all make-up looks are complete, I will provide any touchups that are required before you all go off to get dressed and I leave you to enjoy the rest of your day.
